This was a unique and special painting. To be honest, I'm surprised that it's taken me this long to offer this painting to a new home. It was originally inspired by a painting my great-grandmother Dorothy made in the 60's. I have her painting in my kitchen and love living with it everyday! This is my version of a similiar type of painting. To me, this painting reminds me of the connection we have to family and where we come from.
 
A note on original works: All imperfections have been photographed, but please note that original works often carry small inconsistencies and characteristics that show they've been "well loved" during the creation process! Often you will find that watercolor paintings don't lie perfectly flat, but will look amazing when mated and framed.
 
Finding the right art for your home is such a deeply personal and emotional process. It brings me so much joy to imagine these original pieces—works I spent so much time with—finding their forever homes. I love thinking of them being cherished, loved, and part of someone’s space for years to come.
